Hohenwerfen Castle — medieval fortress rising 155m above the Salzach on a sheer rock pillar. Pull off the B159 and look back north for the full impact.
Golling Waterfall — one of the most dramatic falls in Austria, plunging 76m over a limestone cliff. Short walk from the roadside car park.
Golling Gorge (Lammeröfen) — the Lammer river squeezes between sheer limestone walls worn into smooth curves by centuries of water. Eerie and beautiful.
Salzach Valley panorama — pull over at the Gaisberg viewpoint for a sweeping view south over the valley toward the Alps. Best in the golden hour.
